Questions on Booking a Photo Session
Planning a photo session can take some work and questions can arise while planning the event. Getting a bit of research done prior to the session or when you’re planning it can take some anxiety out of the event and allow for a better photo shoot.
The best time for outdoor portrait session. The middle of day should be avoided, due to the harshness of the sun and it’s preferred for earlier in the day or later in the afternoon. If midday is your only option, plan for a location that allows escape from the midday sun.
Studio or Gym Sessions of all types are available in the throughout the day.
Keep an eye on sunrise and sunset times. We’re currently in winter months and the sun sets earlier, our “evening” sessions are start a bit earlier. In Florida, we get a little more sunlight then our friends up north.
Temperature does plays roll. The winter months in Florida allow for some fantastic outdoor shoots, maybe not ideal at times for “in the water” events but most everything else is fair game. However, during the summer months you want to avoid the hottest time of day - especially if you’re planning a family shoot. The kids might be absolutely lovely with a heat index of 120 degrees.
Weekend crowds! Local beaches, parks and gardens can be crowded on weekends around the Tampa Bay area. It doesn’t mean you shouldn’t avoid planning a photo session, but keep in mind you’ll need to be a bit creative with the photographer (me). The one thing in Florida is the crowds shift as the year moves along, so we can coordinate the best location for a specific time of year.
